The high-sided Mineral B iron skillet is just like the traditional skillet in the collection but with greater depth, making it perfect for flawless frying without splatters (you can submerge and fry croquettes, dumplings, churros... as good frying deserves). You can also use it to sauté meats and vegetables like a wok or to grill at the bottom of the pan, without non-stick coatings and as a good roast deserves.
As French as La Marseillaise, De Buyer's Mineral iron pans are eco-friendly, recyclable, and made to last a lifetime.
- Handmade in iron.
- Without using chemicals, strange coatings, or heavy metals.
- They are treated with a natural beeswax layer that protects the pan from factory to home.
- Over time, they acquire a natural non-stick patina.
- Ideal for browning or roasting meats, sautéing vegetables, or frying eggs.
- Suitable for all heat sources, including induction.
- They can go in the oven. Pans with an iron handle can be put in the oven at 200 °C for ten minutes; if the handle is stainless steel, there’s no time or temperature limit.
This is a pan made to last a lifetime; not light, but worth its weight in gold, and will bring joy to your kitchen!
Remember we have a protective cover for the handle of De Buyer iron pans to help you avoid burns while handling the pan.

Important Things to Know About Mineral B Iron Pans
- De Buyer pans are made in France, the only ones certified with an iron purity of over 99%. The best!
- These are iron pans, so they can rust. How to avoid it? Avoid prolonged contact with water; don't air dry them: after washing, simply dry them with a cloth. If you like, leave them on low heat for a few minutes to fully remove moisture while finishing up in the kitchen (a very useful trick).
- If they’ll be unused for many days, you can apply a little oil, spreading it with a paper towel, but this isn’t essential.
- Before first use, seasoning them is highly recommended. This makes them naturally more non-stick. Seasoning is very easy to do. Watch the video in the photos to learn how.
- You have a pan for life! Scrub it with a soft sponge or use steel wool to remove stuck food without harming the pan! (No non-stick coating that can be damaged here). They may turn black, in parts or all over; no worries, as they work better the blacker they get.
- If rust spots appear, rub them with a paper towel with oil, and it’ll disappear like magic. If a larger area rusts, use steel wool without worry; it won’t hurt, as it’s a solid iron pan: under the iron layer, there’s more iron.
- If you’ve scrubbed it or just feel like it, you can re-season it, but it’s not necessary to do so regularly.
