Opinel’s story
Joseph Opinel created the popular knife that bears his name more than 120 years ago in the small town of Albiez-le-Vieux, in the heart of the French Alps. Today, his descendants continue to manufacture simple, robust and precise utensils in Chambery with top quality materials and a production that respects natural resources.
