• Preheat the pan to medium heat and brush each cavity with a little oil or butter.
• Put two tablespoons of the dough you have prepared in each cavity.
• Let it heat until the center begins to bubble and the edges turn golden.
• Gently flip each pancake with a wooden or silicone spatula.
• Check if it is done by carefully poking it with a toothpick (so as not to damage the pan).
• When it comes out dry, remove the pancake and drizzle with honey, cream, caramel, your favorite syrup or white chocolate to make your flakes more authentic. And if you make them savory, whatever sauce you like!

Cast aluminum pancake pans were one of the first products Nordic Ware made, over 70 years ago. The original "Platte Panne" pan was a traditional (Swedish style) pancake pan, designed to make thin, melt-in-your-mouth pancakes. That simple yet highly effective design is still part of the Nordic Ware collection!

Over the years, the number of designs has increased, but it is always the same base to which some drawing or animation is added, to make themed or fun pancakes.

Nordic Ware founder Dotty Dalquist developed traditional recipes in her home back in the 1950s, which are still prepared in the kitchens of many Americans.

How to use pancake pans

1. Place the pan on the stove, at low/medium power, to preheat it.
2. Grease the cavities with butter or baking spray, using a brush to reach the entire pattern of each cavity.
3. Using a spoon or ladle, pour the prepared pancake batter into each cavity.
4. Keep cooking until bubbles stop forming. This, along with the golden edges, tells you it's time to flip the pancakes.
5. Turn them over with a spatula and when they are done on the other side as well, remove them to a plate.
6. Repeat the previous steps until you finish the prepared dough.
7. Serve and accompany the pancakes with honey, syrup, chocolate, fruit... They are delicious!

TIP: If you want each side of the pancake to have a different pattern, leave a cavity free when you fill the pan. When you turn the pancakes, turn one over the free cavity, and turn the others over as well.
