The iconic Emile Henry Ceramic Ruffled Pie Dish is ideal for baking traditional cakes for wonderful results. Thanks to its excellent design, you can bring the cake to the table directly in the tart dish, keeping it warm for longer. You don’t even have to worry about scratching the dish when cutting slices, since it’s cut-resistant.
Glazed ceramic distributes heat evenly and gradually, cooking your dishes beautifully. It is also a beautiful mould. Its wavy shapes will make your cakes look so beautiful that you won't need to add any more decoration. It is ideal for baking both sweet and savoury recipes. Meat pies, fruit tarts, quiches or a delicious apple pies.

- Important: When you take it out of the oven, the mould is very hot and you must avoid a contrast in temperature: place it on a cooling rack, a wooden board or a cloth so that it does not suffer a sudden thermal shock, as it could crack.
Did you know...? It’s perfect for sponge cakes! Ceramic is an ideal material for fluffy sponge cakes because it is a moist material which, unlike other materials, does not dry out the dough. Bake in Emile Henry ceramics and you will notice the difference.
CLAUDIA'S NOTE ON COLOURS: When Emile Henry ceramics are heated, the colour of the moulds intensifies, becoming darker. Personally, I never know if I like them better when they are at room temperature or when I take them out of the oven, they are such beautiful colours! The classic red turns into a very intense garnet red for a while. I guess they don't want us to stop baking with them!
