Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the Nordic Ware Insulated Cooking and Serving Tray is a double tray designed for cooking on the barbecue or in the fireplace and bringing food to the table like they do in the best restaurants: in the most practical way, and keeping the food warm!

This Nordic Ware tray, known there as the Steak Server Tray , is a classic of the brand since its beginnings, since the 40s, proof of its effectiveness and practicality. It is made in the United States and is composed of:

  • A stainless steel tray , designed and suitable for cooking on the barbecue and in the oven. It is ideal for preparing all kinds of grilled meats and vegetables, toasting bread or roasting peppers.
  • A plate-carrying base , which will insulate the tray when you take it to the table after cooking. The food will stay warm thanks to the insulating effect of this base, also creating a chamber of hot air inside when you place the hot tray on it.

It is available in 2 versions:

  1. With a ribbed tray, ideal for meats: the grooves on the base allow air to circulate underneath the meat, creating a perfect caramelisation effect, ideal for meat lovers (you can also cook everything in it and make delicious grilled vegetables with the same effect!). Internal dimensions: 26.5 cm long x 18 cm wide x 1.3 cm deep.
  2. With smooth tray: for all types of food, it is a tray that, apart from cooking all kinds of food, you can use to serve fruit, snacks and salads on a daily basis. Interior measurements: 33.7 cm long x 23.8 cm wide x 1.3 cm deep.

IMPORTANT: You will see that both models have a silicone strip between the stainless steel tray and the plate holder base. This strip is for protection and must be removed before using the tray .

Grades:

  • You can also use the tray to cool things down! Place the stainless steel tray in the fridge for about 10 minutes. After this time, remove it and place it on the plate rack. Place the ice cream bar, salad or whatever you want to keep cold on it and serve it at the table. You'll see how the food stays cold for longer!
  • If at any time it is required, you can also heat the tray on the gas or ceramic stove, over a low heat, for 1 or 2 minutes maximum.
  • Before placing the meat on the tray, brush it with oil on both sides, and make sure to place it when the tray is already hot.
  • Never place the plate rack on the grill, stove or oven.
  • Use gloves when handling the tray, even when it is on the plate rack, as it may be hot for up to 20 minutes after placing it on.

  • Suitable for heating on gas or ceramic cooktops for a maximum of 1-2 minutes.
