How to use the Le Creuset Ceramic Duck Pie Chimney

It’s very simple to use:

      • Place the ceramic duck on the base of the pie you’re going to bake; ideally place it in the center.
      • Put the filling on the pie or pasty base (meat, vegetables, fruit...), around the duck.
      • Cover the pie with the remaining pastry, piercing it only once so that the duck pie can poke its little head out.
      • Bake the pie without needing to prick the rest of the pastry with a skewer or fork. The steam generated inside the pie will escape through the duck, preventing the pastry from puffing up or splitting.
