The high iron frying pan Mineral B is exactly the same as the traditional pan from the collection, but with greater depth, making it perfect for frying perfectly and without splashes (you can comfortably submerge and fry croquettes, empanadas, churros... just like a good fry deserves), and you can also use it for sautéing meats and vegetables like a wok or make griddle at the bottom of the pan, without non-stick coatings and as a good barbecue deserves.

As French as La Marsellesa, the Mineral iron pans from De Buyer are eco-friendly, recyclable, and built to last a lifetime.

  1. Handcrafted from iron.
  2. Without using chemicals or strange coatings nor heavy metals,
  3. They are treated with a natural beeswax layer that protects the pan from the factory until it arrives at your home.
  4. With use, they develop a patina that makes them naturally non-stick.
  5. Ideal for browning or roasting meats as well as sautéing vegetables or frying eggs.
  6. Suitable for all heat sources including induction.
  7. They can be placed in the oven. Pans with iron handles can go in the oven at 200 °C for ten minutes; if the handle is stainless steel, there is no time or temperature limit.

This is the classic pan for life that isn’t light, but is worth its weight in gold, and will bring you much joy in the kitchen!

Remember we have a protective cover for the handle of the De Buyer iron pans, which will help you avoid burns when handling the pan.

Why we like the high iron frying pan Mineral B De Buyer

  1. We love that it is so deep because of its large capacity, as it can double as a wok or even a fryer.
  2. An iron pan lasts a lifetime if well cared for. It’s a guaranteed investment.
  3. Being oven-safe, it’s perfect for gratinating or giving your recipes a quick heat blast.
  4. With De Buyer mineral iron pans, our cooking is more professional. We can dream we are Ratatouille.
Things that are important to know about Mineral B iron frying pans
  • De Buyer pans are made in France, and the only ones with a certificate of iron purity over 99%. The best!
  • They are iron pans, so they can rust. How to avoid it? Avoid prolonged contact with water, don’t let them air dry: simply dry them with a cloth after washing. If you want, you can leave them on low heat for a few minutes to completely lose moisture while you finish cooking (a very easy and useful trick).
  • If you’re going to leave them unused for many days, you can apply a little oil and spread it over the surface with a paper towel, but it’s not essential.
  • Before first use, it’s very useful to season them. This seasoning makes them naturally more non-stick. Seasoning is super simple to do. Watch the video among the photos to learn how.
  • You have a pan for life! You can scrub it with a soft sponge, or wash it with steel wool if needed to remove stuck food, and nothing will happen to the pan! (there’s no non-stick coating to damage). They can turn black, evenly or in patches. Don’t worry, the blacker they get, the better they perform.
  • If rust spots appear, wipe with a paper towel and oil, and you’ll see it disappear like magic. If the rusted area is larger, use steel wool without fear. Nothing will happen; it’s a completely iron pan: under the iron layer, there’s more iron.
  • If you’ve had to scrub it with steel wool or just want to, you can season it again, but it’s not at all necessary to do it regularly.
