The De Buyer Mineral B iron Steak pan is the classic De Buyer Mineral B pan but with the traditional design of grooved bottom for caramelizing and marking meats and fish. With it, you'll look like a true professional!

The grooves on the bottom of the steak pan allow you, quickly and visibly, to obtain the typical grill marks on your food. But beyond that, moreover, the air and juice conduction beneath the food helps you to create a caramelization process that gives you a fabulous grill result. Your grilling sessions will be the most authentic with perfect results!

Although it's specially designed for grilling, remember that you can use the Steak pan not only for that purpose: it's a pan, so you can sauté some vegetables, some noodles... Make the most of this all-rounder!

It's an iron pan, suitable for the stove but also for the barbecue, the oven, or the fireplace (can't you imagine grilling some sausages or making burgers with that smoky flavor, right?).

More French than Coco Chanel, the De Buyer Mineral B pans are what you were looking for to cook healthily at home.

  1. Handcrafted in iron.
  2. Without using chemicals or strange coatings or heavy metals,
  3. Treated with a layer of natural beeswax that protects the pan from the factory until you receive it at home.
  4. With use, they acquire a patina that makes them naturally non-stick.
  5. Ideal for browning or grilling meats as well as sautéing vegetables or frying eggs.
  6. Suitable for all heat sources including induction.
  7. Can be put in the oven (can go in the oven at 200 ºC for ten minutes).

It's the lifelong pan, the grandmother's iron pan that allows you to recover those authentic and delicious flavors. It's a pan that's not light, but worth its weight in gold, and it'll last you a lifetime at home!

Remember that we have a protective cover for the handle of De Buyer iron pans, which will help you avoid burning yourself while handling the pan.

Why we like the Steak pan

  1. Because with the same characteristics as its sister the De Buyer Mineral B iron pan, it also allows us to beautifully mark pieces of meat and fish. We also eat with our eyes.
  2. It's built to last. It will last you a lifetime if you take care of it. As you know.
  3. It's also suitable for the oven, fireplace, and barbecue. Let's go all out and enjoy authentic grilling at home (and outside)!
  4. It's undoubtedly an all-terrain pan.
Things to know about De Buyer Mineral B iron pans
  • De Buyer pans are made in France, and the only ones with a certification of iron purity exceeding 99%. The best!
  • They are iron pans, so they can rust. How to avoid it? Avoid prolonged contact with water, don't let them air dry: simply, after washing them, dry them with a cloth. If you want, you can leave them on low heat for a few minutes again to remove all the moisture while you finish cooking (it's a very easy trick to follow and very useful).
  • If you're going to leave them unused for many days, you can apply a little oil and spread it over the surface with a paper towel, but it's not essential at all.
  • Before the first use, it's very interesting to season them. This seasoning makes them more non-stick naturally. Seasoning is super simple to do. Watch the video among the photos to see how to do it.
  • You have a pan for a lifetime! You can rub it with a soft sponge, or wash it with nanas if needed to remove food, it won't harm the pan! (there's no non-stick coating in it that you can damage). They can turn black, all over or in pieces. Don't worry, the blacker the better they'll work for you.
  • If there are rust spots, pass a paper towel with oil, and you'll see how it magically disappears. If the rusted area is larger, use the nanas without fear. Nothing will happen to it; it's a completely iron pan: under the iron layer, there's more iron.
  • If you've had to scrub it with nanas or just feel like it, you can season it again, but it's not essential to do it regularly.
