It is important to change the rubber seals (gaskets) on your pressure cooker when you notice that it is no longer cooking as fast as the first day, or steam is constantly escaping during cooking (this is a sign that the rubber seal has lost its seal, and the cooker will not work in the short time it should). Remove the old one and insert this new one.
It is advisable to wash the rubber seals on pressure cookers by hand, with a sponge and under the tap. You will see that their useful life is much longer.
