Spoon made of olive wood, 20cm long and 4cm in diameter, ideal for olives.
The olive tree is ideal for use in the kitchen as it has anti-bacterial properties and its wood is one of the most resistant to stains and odours. It does not require special care, although it is recommended to wash it by hand and leave it to dry in an upright position. To keep the wood looking as good as new and prevent it from over-drying, it is advisable to apply vegetable oil occasionally.
Bérard has been making wooden utensils in Saint-Laurent-en-Royans, between the French Alps and the Côte d'Azur, since 1892. The manufacturing process is respectful of forests and the environment. Each piece is handcrafted to make the most of the available wood, no two pieces are the same. In addition, all surplus material is used to heat both the drying chamber and the facility itself, so there is no waste of wood.
