If you have a Le Creuset cocotte with a black knob (the phenolic knob that some older versions have) you may be interested in changing it to a stainless steel one. Unlike the black one, this stainless steel knob for cocottes from Le Creuset is ideal to be able to put the cocotte with the lid in the oven and to be able to make any recipe, since it can reach very high temperatures without you having to worry.
Le Creuset cocottes with the black knob can also go in the oven, but they can only reach 190ºC. This stainless steel knob does not have this limit, so you can prepare recipes at 200, 220, 250ºC and more, without the temperature being a problem. From a roast to making bread, the only limit now will be your desire to get down to business!

Changing the knob is not difficult at all: with a flat screwdriver you can unscrew the black knob from the inside of the cover, and put this stainless steel knob in the same way.
